How to make a photo booth strip on iPhone
By Juste Tools · Published
A photo booth strip is a sequence of portraits arranged into one narrow image. On iPhone, the simplest workflow is to shoot a four-photo session, choose a strip layout and export the finished image. You do not need a physical booth to make one.
Set up before the first photo
Place the phone at eye level on a stable support. Leave room above your heads and at both sides: a pose that fits the first frame can leave the next one cropped. Face a window or a soft lamp, rather than putting the brightest light behind you.
- Clean the lens and check the framing with everyone in position.
- Choose four poses before starting: neutral, smile, look at each other, then something playful.
- Keep the phone and background in the same place for the whole session.
Make the strip in Flashroom
Choose one of Flashroom's eight booths and take its four-shot session. Select a vertical strip for a traditional booth look or a 2×2 contact sheet if you prefer a square arrangement. Reopen the session in the private album when you want to revisit it. The app processes the photos on your device.
All booths and filters are free. An optional subscription removes the export signature; check the current App Store listing before purchasing. This workflow is for taking a new session, rather than importing an arbitrary set of old photos.
Save one full-quality copy
Export the finished result before adding stickers or compressing it in a messaging app. Keep that original for printing. When you share, inspect the whole strip: faces, border and signature should fit inside the receiving app's preview. A vertical image can need a background or margins to fit a Story.
